ENVIRONMENTAL FILM FESTIVAL VOICES 2010

All set for the second Environmental Film Festival Voices in Medellin, Bogota, Envigado and Santa Rosa de Osos.

• More than thirty audiovisual productions including documentaries, animation, short and medium length.


· lectures and talks will be the shared at the great Festival.


From October to November will take place the second version of the Environmental Film Festival Voices, which will be presented in universities, colleges,cultural corporations, public parks and museums with free screenings and special guests.

The films to be presented come from Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Spain, United States, Britain, Israel, Mexico, Czech Republic and Venezuela, and revolve around environmental issues such as water resources, recycling, climate change, mining, Oil, food security, marine issues, green building and urban planning.

In total 27 documentaries, 6 animations and 4 experimental video installation. Among the titles are: Addicted to plastic, H2Oil, Sharkwater, The Age of Stupidity and Homo toxicus. The lectures will be led by the Malpelo Foundation, the Pacific Green Environmental Collective, the National University of Colombia, the University of Antioquia, the Metropolitan Area among other representatives of the environmental movement in Colombia.

The festival, held since 2009 is organized by the Corporation KABABÍ - Environmental Education; it seeks the transformation of the realities that shape the contemporary world, questioning the individual about his relationship with the environment and the surroundings and enables discussion and reflection of society through the media.
